Exercise Right for Active Ageing Program

Exercise Right for Active Ageing (ERAA) is a national program designed for older Australians over 65 (or Indigenous Australians who are over 55) funded by the Australian Government under the Move it AUS – Better Ageing Grants Program.

The group program is facilitated by our Accredited Exercise Physiologists at C2M Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology and has been designed to help those over 65 years or older lead an active lifestyle. Before a participant commences the class, they are individually assessed so that our programs can be suited to your conditions, needs and goals.

The Program Aims to Help You: • Move more through affordable exercise classes led by university qualified professionals. • Improve your quality of life and overall health. • Connect with like-minded people in a fun and friendly setting.

Program Outline

*You must complete a pre-screening assessment prior to commencing the classes. This incurs a one-off out of pocket cost of $18.50.

• 1 x pre-exercise screening
• 1 x pre-assessment (one off $18.50 out of pocket cost)
• 1-hour in-person sessions ($8 out of pocket cost per session)
• 1 x post – assessment

The Program is Suitable for Those:
• Aged 65 and over (to receive the subsidised rate); $20.00 per session for those under 65.
• With a chronic condition, injury or illness.
• Who are on the waitlist for an Australian Government Home Care package.
• Not accessing allied health services through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme.
